Training 2000 is a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses and is now one of the largest Group Training Associations in England, with over 40 years' experience of delivering high quality work-based learning and training programmes to industry and individuals. We have grown to more than 300 staff and 6 centres across the North West and other areas of the UK, working with national employers across a wide range of sectors, whilst maintaining local support.
Training 2000 has helped many companies to remain competitive by helping to create a 'World Class' multi-skilled and flexible workforce. With over 40 years experience in delivering high quality engineering programmes for young people and adults, we specialise in skills improvement programmes and qualifications. Training is delivered at our state-of-the-art facilities with up-to-date equipment and techniques.
At the end of 2008 we achieved the Training Quality Standard (TQS) Part A for the organisation and part B for Engineering. We have since also received Part B for Healthcare and Automotive. We were the first Work-based Learning provider in Lancashire to achieve this certification which is an assessment framework designed to recognise and celebrate the best organisations delivering training and development solutions to employers. At our latest Ofsted inspection in 2011 we achieved Grade 1 – Outstanding for Engineering & Manufacturing Technologies. In 2011 we were listed in the Sunday Times 100 Best Places to Work.
