Glyndŵr University champions the spirit of enterprise and an outward-facing philosophy. Inspired by Welsh hero Owain Glyndŵr, the university aims to be bold, inspiring and enterprising in everything it does.

Our courses are tailored to be relevant to industry and professional applications. We work closely with partners in business including Airbus, Rolls Royce and the BBC to ensure our graduates get the skills they need to gain employment.

The university has established a high-profile research group in ultra precision surfaces, which, with colleagues from Cambridge, UCL and Cranfield, is developing prototype mirrors for the world’s largest optical telescope, the 38m European Extremely Large Telescope. The university has also set up new research groups in composite materials engineering and in psychology, both with a strong international profile. Coupled with the appointment of new professors in other areas, including business and nursing, the university now has leading research across all subject areas.
